NCEED’s Dr. Elizabeth Morgan’s co-authored article Inclusive Education in Uganda: Teacher Attitudes, Concerns, and Self-Efficacy in Focus was recently published in The Journal of Special Education. “This study examined the attitudes, concerns, and self-efficacy of general education elementary and middle school teachers in Mukono, Uganda, to inform inclusive practices for children with disabilities. Using a mixed-methods explanatory sequential design, 71 teachers participated in a quantitative survey followed by qualitative open-ended responses to contextualize the findings. Results showed that teachers reported moderately positive attitudes toward inclusive education (M

= 3.35, SD = 0.603) and moderately high self-efficacy (M = 4.80, SD = .608), alongside notable concerns regarding resources (M = 3.08, SD = .690) and workload (M = 2.71, SD = .667).
