Dr. Afiyah Fredericks has been named Principal Investigator for Morgan State University’s participation in an NSF-funded collaborative research project, A Scalable Instrument to Assess Evidence-Based STEM Teaching Practices Across Institutions. The project is led by the University of Texas at Austin, with Morgan State University serving as a sub awardee institution.
The 3 main aims of the proposed study are to:
  1. Target a set of discrete, adaptable instructor practices to target
  2. Create and validate scalable instructor-report measure of messaging practice use.
  3.  Create and validate a student-report measure of inclusive climate.
